Christians Are Stupid, Exhibit A
Jul 13th, 2007 by Anonymous Realist
Ok, not all Christians. But most are – and the world is chock-full of examples. I am not talking about people who follow the teachings of Christ – nothing ignorant and stupid about that at all. But the people who take the Christian Bible literally, believe Jesus was the one son of a God, and believe there’s an old guy in the sky looking down and weeping every time you put it in your girlfriend’s ass before marriage. Ye are the stupid ones.
Today’s news offers a wonderful example of this ignorance in action. These cretins interrupted a Hindu clergyman who was giving a prayer in the US Senate, shouting “this is an abomination” and following with a press release describing the Hindu god as “a false god”.
First of all, morons – there is not “a Hindu god” – there are many dieties within the Hindu faith – it is not a dualistic faith like Christianity. Reasonable people might not expect you to bother to do any open-minded philosophical research before screaming in the Senate Chamber like ten-year-old morons – but perhaps you could do some thinking and research before you issue a press release?
BTW, don’t use words like “abomination” if you want any credibility. Your Bible also talks about other so-called “abominations”: eating shrimp, approaching the altar of worship with bad eyesight, owning slaves from your own tribe (other tribes, it’s cool), or worshipping with messed-up testicles. Think I’m making this up? Open up your Old Testament and spend a little time reading Leviticus.
Morons.
They’re too stupid to understand what you’re saying. Now you will burn in their hell, which, if you asked me, is better than reading all those begots and begats.
Can I nominate another religion for a stupid award : Hinduism.
Abomination #1: Ganesha
noone really knows what’s out there
slink , you should just shut up about other religions
Apparently nobody took into consideration that it was all due to the fact that Congressmen take turns to offer prayers to the floor and the Hindu prayer was just one out of how many conducted last month.
I don’t even understand how people still read the bible. Everything is a sin. Why do Christians feel it is acceptable to follow somethings and completely disregard others?
Believe it or not, there are some people who believe in the traditional Christian faith, but not the wacky American version of it, and many of us are very respectful of other religions. It amazes me, though, how the same people who criticize the weirder Christians for attacking other faiths don’t feel hypocritical for makin blanket statements about all Christians. I’ve spent a good deal of time trying to talk sense into the more whacked-out folks who also call themselves Christians. There was simply no one in history more radically equalizing than Jesus. The Bible says, “In Christ there is neither slave nor free, Jew nor Gentile, male nor female.” So I personally don’t believe anyone can be a Christian and be sexist, racist, or “religionist.” It’s just not what he taught.
Honestly, this post is pretty much a couple paragraphs of bullshit. I mean, all of your so-called “bashing” is bound to have some irrational statements, but this probably has to be one of the worst. Why? Because there is no knowledge here. If you want to truly insult somebody or something, you have to know at least a couple actual FACTS about the subject. It makes you look uneducated to spout meaningless words, a case of diarrhea of the mouth. If you have no problem embarrassing yourself then by all means, continue. You’re doing a great job.
And just so you know, I don’t find this post offensive because you think I am Christian, since I don’t believe in religion. I simply find it offensive to mankind and lose faith in humanity when I read such a disgusting piece of commentary.
