I never watch The View. But the few clips I saw helped me come to the conclusion that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is dumb as a brick. And that’s just fine – because she’s hot, her legs are twenty feet long, and she often wore boots that got me thinking of other things. Those thoughts served as a wonderful distraction from the “substance”, if any.
Unfortunately, this new woman – Sherri Shepherd – is even dumber, yet doesn’t have the looks to neutralize the pain of her stupidity. How dumb, you ask? Well, she was the one who said a few weeks ago that she “wasn’t sure” if the Earth was round. And now, in a conversation about Greeks and Romans, she said that she doesn’t think “anything pre-dates Christians”:
Offensive ignorance.
Now, on the other hand, someone like the purty lil’ Kelly Pickler can get away with the sort of exasperating stupidity we see in the below clip of her recent appearance on the show, “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader”:
And so could Hasselbeck (especially before that unfortunate pregnancy). But not Sherri – dear Lord!
look, i know you’re being satirical – but it is true; the ignorance is SO much more tolerable coming from Pickler or Hasselbeck because they’re hot. sad reality.

Tonight, Joel McHale described this (Pickler & Sherri) as the difference between “dumb” and “dumbass”.

I’m European too and I feel offended by her dumbness. Thanks for this little boy. He’s saving Americas integrity.
And yeah, what you are saying is true, but she’ just not THAT hot.
Wow. I think that just being within the boundaries of the U.S. makes me feel dumber now. Seriously, I AM an American, but when did we all get so stupid?
